1. Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

A Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a directly related field (a Master’s is often preferred).
A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, Teaching License, etc.).
Proven experience successfully teaching A Level Visual Art and/or IB Diploma Programme Visual Arts at a similar level.
A strong personal artistic practice and portfolio.
Highly Desirable:

Experience with other curricula (IGCSE, AP Studio Art, MYP Arts).
Experience teaching in an international, multicultural setting.
Proficiency in a range of traditional and contemporary media (e.g., painting, printmaking, digital art, sculpture, photography).
2. Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Curriculum:

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons for A Level Visual Art and potentially other year groups (e.g., IGCSE).
Develop schemes of work that foster creativity, technical skill, and critical inquiry.
Guide students through the intensive process of developing their coursework portfolios and exam projects.
Provide clear, constructive, and timely feedback to support student progress.
Student Guidance & Pastoral Care:

Mentor students on their artistic development and university applications, including portfolio preparation.
Provide academic and pastoral support within the school's framework.
Departmental & School Community:

Manage the art studio(s), including ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Organize and display student work for exhibitions, open days, and art festivals.
Contribute to the wider school life through clubs, activities, and collaboration with other departments.
