Our ABT Senior Specialist plays a critical role in our Smart Infrastructure group by building and proving custom ABT templates and/or applications to support programming efforts for all types of projects including testing and supporting custom-built solutions. You will work in conjunction with other programmers and engineers to accomplish the most complex projects. This role can be based in any major US city, where you’ll get the chance to work with teams impacting entire cities, countries – and the shape of things to come. This is your role. What part will you play? Set up processes to produce custom solutions per approved submittals. Build functional tests and flowcharts using zone and national standards as the basis for programming standards and then set-up virtual and/or physical test systems to test all programming before release. Built functional test checkout sheets to include in specialist checkout books. Assist graphics designers to incorporate dynamic point information for all graphics designs and validate customer accepted programs by comparing originally provided programs to final programs. Evaluate programs and work with specialists to improve site programming skills, minimize central programming rework, and track programming time to establish baseline for future estimating standards. Test all solutions prior to release to ensure 100% accuracy. Review design content to provide specialists with required information to optimize start-up and commissioning. Document, with RFI specifications, discrepancies and provide clarification and cost impact of requested changes. Produce RFIs and resolve issues with job submittals prior to the job submittals being released to the specialists. Provide onsite assistance with functional testing and participate as a member of the “Programming Community. Participate in regular conference calls to establish programming standards. Attend regularly scheduled Design and Programming meetings and provide pre-sale assistance for labor estimating. Participate in meetings with Sales, Operations, and Engineers to find practical solutions to non-standard requirements. Use your skills to move the world forward. High School Diploma or state-recognized GED required, Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in technical field such as engineering preferred 5+ years HVAC programming experience 3+ years ABT Site experience 2+ years ABT Pro experience Demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills.
