What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you are responsible for the definition and coordination of the SCC staff development requirements and respective trainings. You manage the training activities, execute regular reviews and therefore ensure a training curriculum, which equips the SCC employees with the skills required to take on new activities and adopt new ways of working. You will liaise closely with the Continuous Improvement Lead and Transition Manager to review new opportunities and manage the required staff upskilling and development.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Accountable to manage all training activities and related communications; Manage trainings and support in mapping actual employee roles to relevant role-based training paths and manage overall training approach and offer related communication and education to management and HR Lead.
  • Accountable for managing and overseeing the entire team of trainers, facilitators and coordinators, including staffing, selection and development reviews.
  • Accountable to enable Amgen’s talent base at the new site through effective on-boarding, training and development procedures.
  • Accountable for training reviews; Track and evaluate training attendance and effectiveness, identifying improvements to the training solutions and approach.
  • Supporting the target model capability assessment to define and manage the respective training strategy, approach and process (incl. supporting the prioritization of required skills and the respective trainings).
  • Leading the training and management of trainers and facilitators; Brief and train trainers and training session facilitators (coordinators) in activities needed for preparation of successful training delivery, including initial train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Leading the coordination and content for the training curriculum; Create and coordinate the end-to-end training calendar with HR, to ensure all employees are trained at the appropriate time and work with project leads to design the training curriculum to ensure that the relevant employee groups have the skills required to adopt new ways of working.
  • Supporting the development and review of change impact analyses; Work with Continuous Improvement teams, functional experts and Change Management team to review change impacts and understand subsequent competence development needs.

Education:
 

  • Master’s degree and 4 years of Human Resources experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years Human Resources experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources (ideally in the area of Training / Development) for a large global or multinational organization.
  • Experience of leading a team within an employee development function in a Business Services environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of transition lifecycle.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change.

Preferred knowledge:

  • Change management certification.
