Intel Vision Technology Group is looking for an experienced computer vision algorithms leader to join the team, to design and develop advanced, AI-based imaging and computer vision features.

Our team is responsible for the development of Intel’s visual technologies, including camera/imaging, computer vision, computational photography, 3D sensing, robotics, automotive and AR/VR.

Primary Function

• Lead a team of algorithm experts, that develops innovative algorithms for Video/Image Processing and Computer Vision using state of the art AI technologies as well as classical Computer Vision and Computational Photography tools.
• Define, initiate, and drive development of new imaging features.
• Work with stakeholder across and outside Intel to help define, promote, and productize algorithmic features and products.
• Work with other imaging and AI experts to research and design innovative features and products.

Qualifications

Needed Capabilities

• MSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering in the field of image processing, computer vision, ML – or equivalent experience.

• 5 years of experience in image processing, video processing or computer vision.
• Experience and knowledge with AI/ML in Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch or other ML frameworks)
• Leadership experience as manager or technical lead of a major project with proven impact.

Additional capabilities – to stand out in the crowd

• Strong knowledge of modern AI-based Computer Vision and Computational Photography techniques – inference, regression, detection, segmentation, etc.
• Experience with using and training networks for common Computer Vision and Computational Photography workloads.
• Knowledge and experience with classical CV and Image Processing tools.
• Managerial experience as a technical team leader.
• Understanding of VLSI architecture (esp. to implement algorithms) – logic, system, SoC, SW/HW interface.
