About Our Team We are one of the incubation teams inside Lenovo ISG (Infrastructure Solutions Group) and we are working on bringing innovative products and solutions to new and emerging markets, like Edge Computing. Edge Computing is a relatively new area with a multitude of challenges that are waiting to be solved. Besides developing purpose-built hardware for edge deployments, we are also creating software applications that enable seamless provisioning, deployment, and maintenance of the edge infrastructure. What You Will Do One of the challenges deploying edge computing is enhancing the provisioning and maintenance experience of edge deployments while minimizing TCO. Deployments can span across thousand of geographically dispersed sites where remote access can be challenging. With features like nZTP (near Zero Touch Provisioning ) and e2 ( end to end )  automated deployment, we are addressing the provisioning/deployment challenges. We are also working on simplifying the HW troubleshooting and maintenance process by leveraging AI/VR for enhanced troubleshooting and predictive maintenance. Your primary objective this summer will be to evolve the software from a mockup to a full proof of concept that we can engage customers with.  You will connect what you have learned in your computer science class with real-world experience…and yes, you will finally get to use those Python, Java, and Tensorflow programming skills! This a strategic investment area for Lenovo with quite a bit of responsibility and visibility. What an awesome opportunity!
