Intel AI and Analytics group is looking for a passionate experienced engineering manager that is not afraid to take on ambiguity and tackle new challenges. We want a manager which would be able to balance between tactical versus strategic directions and be able to deliver on values for our customers. The manager will manage a team of software professionals responsible for delivering results across a broad range of AI software engineering including architecture, research, development, design, debugging, testing, and optimization across training, inference, and all necessary end-to-end activities. May also direct AI software professionals responsible for enabling or optimizing customer products and solutions through customer co-engineering and providing high-quality and stable platforms for integrated hardware and software. Expertise spans systems AI software, firmware, drivers, machine learning and deep learning software, development tools, AI enterprise applications, AI consumer applications, and user interfaces. May also be responsible for developing and maintaining a healthy portfolio of ecosystem partners and provide architectural and technical guidance to ensure sound engineering practices are followed. Provides direction and goals to the group and interacts with stakeholders both internal and external. Sets priorities for the team, achieve results across boundaries, ensures an inclusive work environment, develops employees, and manages performance.
Responsibilities are, but are not limited to:
- Defining the AI group Strategy and Roadmap
- Work closely and in collaboration with the product team
- Work to technically grow AI developers' community
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Translate customers and community needs into detailed requirements
- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
- Work closely with clients, partners, business units, QA, Product and Engineering teams to elicit requirements and deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
- Work to ensure product high standards and quality

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor+ degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field ("Cedula Profesional" may be required)
- 8+ years of experience in Machine learning, data science methodologies and processes.
- 6+ years of experience in System Design and architecture
- 10+ years of experience managing and building software teams
- 8+ years of Agile development methodology
Preferred Requirements:
- Cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes, docker and containers
- Product management, Strategic planning, Agile development processes, Process definition
- Turning product vision and strategy into well-articulated business requirements, as well as using qualitative and quantitative data effectively to inform product direction
- Product management processes
- Kubernetes (CKA) certification
- PMP certification
