Job Description

Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) team supports the factory with automated delivery and storage of lots across the factory. We are looking for a highly driven, passionate, and disciplined individual to join our team as an AMHS Operations Manager.

In this position, you will manage a group of AMHS Equipment Technicians providing first-line support to Manufacturing IT - AMHS service as part of a 24x7 support team. You will also be responsible for the overall AMHS Operations and performance for the site.

As an Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.

  • Responsible for supervision/management of the team in achieving operational KPI's around safety, quality, reliability, cost, protocol adherence and Hub standardization.

  • Day to day functional management of the organization, including performance management, training/developing, forecasting/reporting, and budgeting/expense control.

  • Set future direction and plans.

  • Ensures daily operation meets basic user, headcount, and quality guidelines.

  • Track individual AET training plans to ensure operations is staffed by a fully technically capable team.

  • Develop and promote strong teamwork and professionalism both within shift operations as well as across shifts.

  • Provide day to day operational reporting/tracking indicators.

  • Follow-up closely for root cause of problems/issues and report-out in relevant forums.

  • Deliver operational excellence of the AMHS systems supporting the factory.

  • Leads AMHS crisis events working with MIT Escalation Managers and/or Factory representative.

  • Represent AMHS in all stakeholder forums.


Qualifications

We are looking for a strong technical individual with proven management and leadership skills in managing a team of technicians. The incumbent person should have the following qualifications and experience:

  • 5+ years of overall Industry experience including 2 years of people management experience.

  • Management experience including coaching, building, and managing a high performing team.

  • Leadership skills exhibiting dexterity in managing ambiguity with factory customers, stakeholders, and partners.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for managing information flow with the team and with senior management.

  • Possess strong technical, planning, and problem-solving skills, be detail and result oriented, and be focused on operational excellence.

  • Knowledge of factory automation systems and factory operations.

  • Knowledge on supplier, stakeholder, and financial management.

  • Must be willing to attend some meetings during off working hours.

  • Must be flexible to work on 12 hours shift including Weekends/Public holidays.


Education:
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Science or pertinent job experience is required.
