AP & A-Level Computer Science Teacher

Working Hours
-Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
-Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:50 PM

✅ Requirements
--Recognized teaching license (PGCE/QTS/State license or equivalent) OR Master’s in Education / Computer Science
-Minimum 4 years teaching experience in AP & A-Level Computer Science
-Fluent English with clear pronunciation

Location: Baoshan Campus, Shanghai
Institution: Prestigious bilingual high school
Start Date: ASAP / February 2026

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching and Learning:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for AP Computer Science A (using Java) and A-Level Computer Science (typically following Cambridge International or Pearson Edexcel specifications, covering topics like programming, algorithms, data structures, computer architecture, networking, and data representation).

Foster a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and a growth mindset.

Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

Teach programming fundamentals and object-oriented programming concepts with clarity and practical application.

Guide students through individual or group programming projects, including the A-Level Non-Examined Assessment (NEA) or similar substantial project work.

2. Assessment and Evaluation:

Design, administer, and mark formative and summative assessments in line with AP and A-Level standards.

Provide timely, constructive, and detailed feedback to students to support their academic growth.

Monitor, track, and report on student progress, preparing students thoroughly for external examinations.

Manage the administrative requirements for coursework and practical project components.

3. Curriculum Development:

Contribute to the development, review, and enhancement of the Computer Science curriculum.

Stay current with syllabus changes, exam board updates, and best practices in computer science education.

Integrate emerging technologies, real-world applications, and ethical discussions related to computing into the curriculum.
