Job Description
Siemens Mobility, Inc. consists of three Business Units, Rolling Stock, Rail Infrastructure, and Customer Service. Siemens Mobility provides efficient and integrated transportation of people and goods by rail and road – including rolling stock, rail infrastructure and services. Siemens designs and manufactures across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches and high speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on Siemens to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems. For this entity, Siemens Mobility, we are looking for an AP Accounting Liaison. This role serves as the link of communication between key customers in the business and all the AP back-office teams, helps troubleshoot all issues related to payments, invoices, suppliers and existing processes and helps to coordinate between all AP teams to assure a seamless process as needed. Will hold regular meetings with the business and the back office to go over aging items and address any urgent needs. Monthly review of KPIs with both the accounting team and the business to keep everyone updated on processes efficiencies/improvements. The AP accounting Liaison is responsible for the correct accounting of our AP. AP ensures that transactions are recorded in conformance with IFRS, Siemens Financial Guidelines, other legal requirements and that adequate internal controls are in place and followed. This position will require extensive experience & technical knowledge of SAP and its application to complex business processes. The role will have direct responsibility for the AP accounting processes for the Siemens Mobility US based businesses and will involve collaboration within the various Business Units, the Division Controlling Department, global and local accounting as well as other business partners. This is a great opportunity to work directly with all Mobility Business units as well across all accounting departments with exposure to other accounting and finance areas. This position is located in Alpharetta / GA and reports directly to the Head of Accounting of Siemens Mobility. Core Responsibilities: • Support Siemens US Divisions in accounts payable and invoice related accruals. • Review, analysis & oversight to the Siemens Mobility accounts payable processes and accounting impacts. • Validation of accuracy of accruals, processes & controls • Confirmation of all balances for related liabilities & accruals. • Review & approval of related account reconciliations. • Support Siemens Mobility Business Units the Head of Account and other Accounting departments in all matters supporting Accounts Payable related impacts to the financial statements. • Reporting of financial statement fluctuations related to Accounts payable accruals to Business Unit organization, Head of Accounting and other partners. • Delivery of information for external or internal auditors and/ or Business Unit review purposes. • Support process improvement initiatives and company reorganizations effectively as needed within role. · Work with our banking system/ Treasury team for suspicious payments and supporting information. Required Skills • 2-4 years’ experience in SAP FI • 6-8 years in a Large Corporation accounting with an understanding and use of IFRS accounting standards. • Excellent communication, writing, reporting skills to effectively communicate technical financial information. • Accounting background and skills with excellent analytical & organizational skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools. • Proven critical thinking skills & ability to complex accounting problems • Proven leadership skills – able to drive & lead without direct influence • Strong appreciation for the importance of ensuring accuracy in all levels of financial reporting. • Experience and familiarity with internal control framework. • Working knowledge of general business practices. • Ability and desire to plan, control, and contribute to solving complex problems. • Self-driven and resourceful to meet deadlines, achieve goals, work independently as well as work well in teams or groups. • Flexibility to multi-task and adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities - ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Where permitted by applicable law, Siemens may require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 based on job requirements, and in accordance with an accommodation based on legally protected reasons. #LI-EB1 Organization: Siemens Mobility Company: Siemens Mobility, Inc Experience Level: Mid-level Professional Job Type: Full-time Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Siemens is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
