Position: AP Computer Science Teacher
- School: Minhang Crosspoint Academy
- Location: Minhang, Shanghai, very close to subway Line 5 Jiang Chuan Road
- Student age: 14-18 (US G9-12)
- Teaching Hours: 20*45-minute classes per week
- Class Size: 18-28 students
- Possible courses: AP Computer Science A; AP Computer Science Principles

We are searching for a dedicated and experienced CS teacher to join our team. To be successful as a CS teacher, you should possess a thorough understanding of effective teaching practices. Our ideal candidate will be able to create a stimulating learning environment that is sensitive to students' psychosocial needs.

Computer Science Teacher Responsibilities:
• Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students' understanding and application of computer science concepts.
• Preparing and distributing learning material such as projects, notes, assignments, and quizzes.
• Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons.
• Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning.
• Grading assignments and quizzes on time.
• Invigilating quizzes and final examinations.
• Documenting and reporting on students' progress.
• Attending meetings with parents and staff.

Computer Science Teacher Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree with a specialization in computer science (with thorough knowledge of JAVA), or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a CS Teacher.
• A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized, flexible disposition.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Remuneration:
• 12 months’ annual salary: (28000-32000 RMB per month before tax inclusive of housing/housing allowance), dependent on qualifications and experience.
