Key Responsibilities:
Teach AP English Literature and Composition to high school students, preparing them for the AP Exam.

Develop and deliver engaging lessons that promote literary analysis, critical thinking, and academic writing.

Assign and evaluate essays, research papers, and creative writing projects that reflect AP-level expectations.

Foster a classroom culture that encourages thoughtful discussion, independent interpretation, and close reading.

Provide individualized support and feedback to help students reach their full academic potential.

Create assessments aligned with AP College Board standards and monitor student progress regularly.

Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate with parents when needed.

Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school-wide initiatives.

Participate in department meetings, professional development, and school events.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Literature, Education, or a related field (required).

Valid teaching certification/license (preferred).

Minimum 2 years of experience teaching high school English; AP-level experience required.

Strong command of American and British literary traditions, as well as global literature.

Native or fluent English speaker with excellent writing and communication skills.

Familiarity with College Board's AP English Literature course framework and exam format.

Ability to challenge and motivate high-achieving students.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching in an international or bilingual school setting.

Background in test preparation for AP, SAT, or similar academic assessments.

Experience leading extracurricular activities related to English (e.g., debate, drama, writing club).
