Job Description: AP Seminar & Research Writing Teacher

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated AP Seminar & Research Writing Teacher to join our vibrant academic community in Haidian, Beijing. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop critical thinking, advanced research, and academic writing skills, preparing them for the challenges of the AP Capstone program and higher education.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and rigorous lessons for AP Seminar and other research writing courses.

Guide students through the research process, from formulating inquiry questions to conducting academic research and synthesizing information.

Instruct students in the development of evidence-based arguments, both in writing and oral presentations.

Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work, including research papers, presentations, and performance tasks.

Prepare students for all components of the AP Seminar exam and the subsequent AP Research course.

Foster a classroom environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, academic integrity, and collaborative discourse.

Qualifications and Requirements:

A minimum Bachelor’s degree in English, Composition, Education, or a related field preferred.

Valid teaching credential/certification.

Proven experience teaching AP Seminar is required.

Strong background in teaching academic research methodologies and writing at the high school level.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.
