Our client has been actively expanding its market coverage through mergers and acquisitions in the last 12 years with its footprint around the globe having different brands providing a variety of solution and service across different consumer brands. The business is comprised of both Manufacturing and Commercial operations, being supplier of many world renowned fashion and accessories brands.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Group CEO and working closely with management team in the Head Quarter, your key job responsibilities include below area:

Business Strategy Planning

  • Managing full P/L of the entity
  • Setting and Driving a transformational strategy across all commercial and manufacturing activities
  • Leading teams of commercial, production & warehouse, procurement, logistics and finance, you are expected to drive transformation from organisational culture to operation effectiveness
  • Communicate operational/sales results, activities, etc. to the management team in Head Quarter and provide recommendations and plans for ongoing improvement

Client Engagement and Factory Site Management

  • By integrating global strategy into local business objectives, you are responsible for delivering high quality client services locally thus reaching annual sales and profit targets.
  • Taking full responsibility for the factory site, you have to ensure that capacity, quality and productivity is at the highest level of effectiveness.
  • Identify, create, and develop new market opportunities, taking the lead on constructing a robust and successful business proposal that secure new deals, contracts and long term relationships.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent rapport with key stakeholders such as clients, suppliers, community organisations, regulatory bodies etc;

People Management

  • Leading by example, you will ensure that your leadership team is able to balance a very hands-on approach to their jobs while ensuring they continue to drive the local productivity and regional strategy.
  • Creating a culture of hard work, passion, dedication, quality and compliance, you will introduce and support an environment that takes-care of all staff at all levels
  • Set and achieve key performance targets for: sales, delivery, cost, expenses and other measurements of operational performance;
  • Ensure areas of responsibility are delivered in a way that are consistent with the company's goals and financial-cost improvement plans;
  • Monitor industry legislative developments, develop and implement strategic changes in order to maintain compliance and maximize business performance;
  • To formulate performance measures, parameters and targets, in line with the business objectives and agreed every year on performance review, with targets set for the subsequent year.
  • Increases management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counselling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions.

The Successful Applicant

The Successful Applicant will fulfil below:

Education Level / Professional Qualification & Experience

  • Degree in Business Management or Masters in Business Administration.
  • 15+ years of work experience in the consumer sectors with direct experience overseeing the manufacturing arm
  • Team management experience is critical as are proven leadership skills; the ability to develop people
  • Strong working relationships with major brands, retailers and distributors in APAC

Personal Characteristics & Skills Required

  • Self-starter with plenty of initiative to innovate, change or develop old ideas into new opportunities and enjoys a fast paced exciting environment with a commitment to achieving results.
  • Team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Multitasker and critical thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Highly proficient with MS Office software; high aptitude for Excel.

Language ability

  • Fluent verbal and written business English.
  • Conversational Mandarin
  • Other Asian or European language fluency is appreciated
