Job Description / Capsule
Provide support on planning, directing and overseeing a wide range of projects across 6 supply sites within APAC region. As the regional Project Manager, provide leadership and support for a number of regional projects and programs. He/She will be a recognized expert and the first point of contact for project related queries.
Typical Accountabilities
As the regional project manager, lead and deliver regional Business Projects and Programs to desired outcome
- Drive selected strategic regional projects to make the most impact. Maintain project accountability, from initiation to close, to deliver effective solutions that meet approved customer and business needs. Determine and deliver solutions to approved budget and schedule commitments whilst meeting required quality and compliance standards. Focus areas include stakeholder management, risk management and delivery of business benefit. Follow the AZ Ops Project Management Framework (PMF) as well as Change Management Framework (CMF) in order to deliver project objectives efficiently and effectively. Identify risks and propose solutions balancing business needs and costs. Take accountability for decision making. Contribute to continued development of the project / programme management capability.
- Lead or participate in global projects in a proactive manner to increase APAC presence and impact whilst helping expand the global supply function’s footprints in the region.
- Communicate effectively at different levels and across different functions within the organisation and with key stakeholders in order to negotiate with and influence others over a range of issues.
- Develop a wide network of contacts, internally (across several functions and regionally/globally) and externally.
- Examples of projects include: drive regional Business Process Management maturity improvement, drive regional traceability risk assessment and execution, Operations 2020/2025 etc.
- This position requires a lot of flexibility in managing projects over various operations areas. Candidates with a diverse experience base (e.g., manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and distribution, engineering, IT, finance or commercial) are preferred.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering or business discipline
- Experience in, and knowledge of, the pharmaceutical industry including experience in at least two of the following areas: manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and distribution, engineering, IT, finance or commercial.
- A minimum of 5 years in Project management with proven delivery
- Experience in Business Process improvement within Lean framework
- Having experience to work cross functionally, and ability to facilitate among diverse stakeholder groups that have different priorities
- Ability to manage cultural differences sensitively and negotiate different interests
- A strong drive and great flexibility in managing various projects out of one’s comfort zone (“can-do attitude”)
- Fluent in English both oral and written

- Professional certification (PMP, Lean, 6 sigma)
