AR Specialist
(1 year fix term contract with opportunity to extend)
Typical Accountabilities
- Monitoring and analyzing customers’ receivables
- Responsible for ensuring that customer debts are collected in line with contracted payment terms and in accordance with Credit Policy
- Maintain good working relationships with business partners
- Contacting customers by phone, email or F2F to discuss the issues
- Cooperation with regional market access team, customer service and sales department
- Generating ideas pool to improve collections
- Ensuring compliance with debt collection process and procedures
- Recommending refinancing of overdue debts and participating in negotiations with customers
- Reconciling incoming debt collection payments
- Preparing AR/collection reports
- Handling of customer queries re debt collection
- Analyzing financial position of customer and recommending level of credit limits
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- High level of communication skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Analytical skills and attention to details
- Organizational skills and ability to deal with competing priorities
Experience Essential: Min. 5 years of AR / Collections experience
Desirable
- Knowledge of pharma industry

Internal (to AZ or team) : Functional team members across the global organisation, Business Managers, Finance Professionals, ISMO CFO’s, SET area Finance Directors, Group Legal
External (to AZ): Customers, Legal Firms, Banks, External Advisors with defined accountabilities.
