ASIC Verification Manager
Intel CorporationVancouverUpdate time: June 10,2022
Job Description

An engineering position with Intel of Canada's Intel Foundry Services is a challenging but rewarding experience, allowing you to gain knowledge and experience in integrated circuit design and test, from chiplets to SoCs. As a member of our Silicon Solutions Engineering team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to solve new and interesting problems, making an important contribution to our exciting custom silicon IP and projects. The Vancouver ASIC team develops IP, SoCs, and chiplets to enable users and customers of Intel Foundry Services. Modern ASICs have grown exponentially more complex in order to enable greater functionality, to push the limits of performance and to use less power. Nevertheless, ASIC design engineering must absorb and adapt to this growth because high quality ASICs are crucial for success. Our team develops cutting edge high-performance, low-power techniques and methodologies which are then simulated and compared against the ASIC.
As a Manager you will set priorities for the team, get results across organizational boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance. You will manage a team of SoC verification professionals who are responsible for delivering results over many areas of the SoC lifecycle: concept, architecture, design, modeling, debugging, validation, optimization, and customer engagement.

The role will also need to provide architectural and technical guidance, and ensure that sound engineering practices are followed. You will also provide direction and set goals for the group, and interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Behavioral Traits

  • Excellent people and leadership skills with a proven background of having built and grown engineering teams with excellent development practices and high quality and high velocity engineering methods

  • Skilled at gathering insights from key stakeholders and influencing to align organizational goals

  • Willing to self-manage and lead through high levels of ambiguity

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Employees are encouraged to work remotely due to COVID-19; all new hire activities will be done virtually. This is subject to change and employees deemed as essential workers may be required to work on-site.
We are looking for enthusiastic individual with problem solving abilities, communication and desire to learn. Technically, a solid foundation of digital design (System Verilog) and object-oriented programming is desired.

Additional responsibilities for ASIC Verification Manager positions:

  • Develop and advance UVM/Formal-based verification architectures and methodologies

  • Manage verification regression testing, including results triage and delegating debugging for failed tests, and lead teams to do the same
