Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public administration, communication, marketing, or a related discipline
• 6-8 years’ experience in qualitative market research in Hong Kong & China. Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience as a moderator preferred
• Familiar with social media platforms and social analytics in Hong Kong and mainland
• Proven English proficiency & fluent Putonghua
• Good interpersonal & communication (including report writing), analytical and project management skills
• Proactive, independent and detail-minded
• Knowledge on property and retail market in Hong Kong and Mainland China preferred and have basic knowledge on quantitative research
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, e.g. Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Willing to work overtime and on public holidays, as well as under pressure

Responsibilities:

• Design and conduct qualitative research to develop a deep understanding of consumer behaviors, needs and motivations, and identify business opportunities and areas of enhancements
• Plan and execute qualitative research projects, including designing proposal and discussion guide, recruiting participants, moderating focus group and in-depth interviews, quality checking with transcripts, analyzing unstructured data, compiling business reports and developing actionable recommendations, and supporting other activities necessary for qualitative research projects
• Support quantitative surveys and incorporate data to analyze the results
• Support digital and social media analysis and make recommendations
• Work closely and liaise with internal departments to understand research requirements and needs

(Candidates with less experience will be considered as Research Officer.)
