Job Description
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the flow of service, catering to the individual needs of restaurant guests and managing front of house staff. In this role, the person will support the General Manager, Operations Manager and Owners in front of house operations at our newly opened restaurant Taqueria Super Macho.
Specific responsibilities include: troubleshooting service issues, training/hiring staff, managing inventory, ensuring optimal food and labor costs, managing scheduling and payroll, maintaining and implementing technologies and systems, amongst others responsibilities.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of working experience in hospitality
- 3+ years of experience in management role
- 2+ years of experience organizing, managing, and executing events of all sizes
- International experience in major hospitality cities such as London, Barcelona, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Shanghai, etc.
- Experience with staff training, development and recruitment
- Expertise in hospitality industry technologies and systems, such as points-of-sales and reservations management systems
- Strong English and Spanish written and oral skills
- Knowledge and a love for Mexican cuisine, including its history, ingredients, and techniques
- Degree in hospitality management
