We are now recruiting a Business Unit Planner, to join our diverse Supply Chain team in Westport. The Business Unit Planner is responsible for producing a Production Plan in agreement with Line Management which maximizes available capacity to meet customer needs and inventory targets and also closely monitor the execution of that plan. Communicate in a timely manner progress of plan, and in particular changes which may impact the customers requested shipment dates.

So, what do you need to do this role?

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • As Business Unit Planner, you will ensure that all planning activities of the Business Unit are performed in accordance with GMP, and relevant SOPs.
  • You will maintain Customer Order Priority list for Product Release in conjunction with Lab release dates. 
  • We believe in collaboration so in this role you will represent the “Voice of the Customer” at the Business Unit ensuring that the focus is maintained on meeting the requested ship dates.
  • In this role, you will issue a filling and packing schedule to the floor in a timely manner to meet the Customer requirements
  • As part of this diverse and inclusive team you will monitor and review the execution of the Schedule making decisions around changes should they be required.
  • Fostering an environment of continuous improvement, you will engage in any OPEX projects which are being undertaken by Supply Chain. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain or Business Degree. 
  • Minimum 5 years planning in a high-volume manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
  • IPICS or similar qualification is desired.  

 

 

Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies (includes Licenses, Credentials)

  • Good working knowledge of SAP applications in areas of MRP/MPS.
