We are now recruiting a Finance Manager to join our team in Westport, Co. Mayo. As our new Finance Manager, you will be reporting directly into the Assistant Financial Controller. We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded manager to join our finance team. You will be responsible to manager a team overlooking the business units on site to ensure all financial targets are achieved. Your responsibilities will include leading the financial planning and budgeting/forecasting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required. To be successful in this position, you should be able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and develop your finance team who are responsible for the manufacturing areas on site to ensure all financial targets are achieved. • Providing financial support and guidance on all issues in relation to your team’s manufacturing areas. • Take a lead role in the Financial planning and analysis for the site – including monthly LBE’s (Latest Best Possible Estimate), annual Plan and LRP (Long Range Planning) • Monitor and report on operations performance with monthly / weekly KPI’s to Senior Management Team and cross functional departments. • Analytical review and investigation of expense variances and provide recommendations to drive business performance • Develop and maintain appropriate models to allocate production costs to inventory production in financial periods • Reviewing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and follow up & resolve reconciling items in a timely manner • Ensure all accounting and reporting procedures comply with SOX and internal control guidelines. • Drive process improvement initiatives to deliver on business objectives • Deliver full compliance with all regulatory requirements, including the support of external and internal audits. • Variance Analysis – monthly management accounts must be reviewed for accuracy and reasonableness to identify any deviations from Plan and LBE thereby enabling corrective action to be taken if necessary • Collaborate and maintain stakeholder relationships with cross functional departments – Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Operational Excellence etc. Qualifications Still interested? For this role, you will: Education and Experience: • Be a Qualified Accountant, with 3rd level qualification in business/accounting essential. • People Management experience needed as you will be leading a team of 2-3 resources • Experience within a global manufacturing environment or multinational • SAP and Blackline experience is preferred. • You will have experience in forecasting and planning with cost accounting experience. • Be results-driven, striving to meet all targets and metric standards set by site/department and division leaders.
