We are looking for a high performing Medical Information / Medical Operations Specialist to join our team in Citywest, Dublin. The purpose of this role is to act as the local medical information lead for relevant products and provide scientific and technical expertise/support to medical affairs. You will be responsible for fulfilling National and European Regulatory Authority regulations with respect to Medical Information and conform to AbbVie standards. You will also manage the medical oversight of Abbvie Nursing service programs to ensure that nursing programs are designed and operated in accordance with local laws, regulations, the IPHA code and AbbVie SOP's. A snapshot of your key responsibilities as Medical Information / Medical Operations Specialist would be: Responsible for providing verbal and written answers to queries of scientific/medical nature from internal and external clients for the areas of responsibility and tracking medical information queries in the applicable system. Ensuring that medical information provided is of high quality and communicated in an accurate, balanced, timely manner and compliant with applicable company standards, policies, and procedures Maintains in-depth understanding of product knowledge for areas of responsibility and conveys information in a manner that demonstrates fair and scientific balance with attention to medical and pharmacological detail. Ensures any reported safety information and quality complaints are reported to appropriate teams for further processing as per applicable procedures. Drives process enhancements and implement new systems and strategies to improve the provision of medical information and internal and external clients’ satisfaction, where applicable. Work closely with the third-party nursing service provider team to understand trends that affect patients and leverage these insights to help deliver a better support program. Facilitate and provide training to third party nurses to ensure the activities performed are in line with AbbVie program guidelines and IPHA code annex II Monitor Service providers Key Performance Indicators and feedback on any issues identified to program owner Qualifications So, what do you need to do this role? Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in science or pharmacy. 2 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferably in medical information or medical operations. Excellent knowledge of the IPHA code guidance on nursing Services Experience in cross functional working Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills Strong commitment to compliance with the relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity Sound judgment, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to get things done.
