About the Academic English Program
The Academic English program teaches a well-designed and highly regarded Australian pre-university curriculum. It is taught intensively over 8 weeks, with 25 hours face to face teaching per week. Assessments are externally moderated and provide a good indicator to students of their international study level.

The Academic English program may lead into the EIC International Foundation Year (IFY) program. This is a one year program which prepares students for undergraduate study abroad, particularly in the UK and Australia. Students are given a broad based program, including English language, academic study skills and academic courses, to meet the entry requirements for UK universities.

Key Selection Criteria:
Essential
• A university graduate from an English speaking country with a relevant Bachelors degree and excellent communication skills
• A CELTA or equivalent TESOL certificate
• Demonstrated minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience
• International outlook and strong cross cultural communication skills
• Have a positive working attitude, be passionate about education and be open to new experiences
• Currently resident in China and available for the start date.

Desirable
• Prior experience teaching on a pre-university program
• Experience teaching educational programs in China or teaching Chinese students abroad
• A Masters degree and a DELTA or equivalent.
