Job Description
The roles of International Academic Principal
of the I-EP and IHP Programs

Duties and Responsibilities

1.Be responsible for the day-to-day management of the I-EP and IHP departments under the guidance of the Principal of I-EP and IHP Programs;
2.Be in charge of the development of the I-EP Program with the ultimate aim of running the International Baccalaureate courses with eventual full recognition by the IB, and the development of the IHP Program with the goal of cultivating future international leaders with an international vision by running the AP courses;
3.Provide a strong professional development Program for all international teachers in the I-EP and IHP departments, including working with the management team to train international teachers;
4.Undertake the professional appraisal of all teaching colleagues, following the school-wide agreed policy laid down by the I-EP and IHP Principal;
5.Support teaching colleagues in their different roles and undertake disciplinary measures where appropriate;
6.Advise the I-EP and IHP Principal on the staffing, budgetary and facilities needs;
7.Collaborate closely with the I-EP and IHP principal, the head of I-EP Program and the head of IHP Program to recruit and assist in the management of international teachers;
8.Lead through Speech Days, Assemblies, meetings of groups or individuals and letters;
9.Lead through teaching, support for activities and providing good example;
10.Evaluate departmental work through results and classroom performance;
11.Provide leadership in academic, pastoral, spiritual, moral and extra-curricular activities or any issue related to education;
12.Recruit students;
13.Ensure that students' records are well maintained in collaboration with the school registrar's office;
14.Meet regularly with international teachers to engage them with efforts related to the future development of I-EP and IHP;
15.Ensure that all appropriate channels of communication within the school are respected and made known to all parents and I-EP and IHP staff;
16.Any other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Required

Master’s degree, with successful teaching experience, and at least 10 years’ management experience in a recognised educational organisation;
Knowledge of change management theory and practice, ability to apply current technology to staff development and instructional delivery;
Collaborative team player;
Excellent written and spoken English skills, and excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents;
Prior training and experience in both IB Programs and AP courses is preferred but not essential.
