Job Description

We are looking for an Account Executive to join us in Wuhan, reporting into the Account Manager. As a key member of Journals commercial team, the purpose of this role is to represent the company to customers, responsible for achieving annual territory sales targets through sustainable and consultative account management and maintaining an awareness of business and competitive trading environment.

What you’ll be doing:

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the followings:

  • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets across each profit centre, contributing to the overall revenue and profit objectives of the business division
  • Enlarge and cultivate strong and holistic relationships with the customer base, working to ensure that trading with each account is sustainable and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Report periodically to the manager on sales progress and the business environment, this ensuring responsiveness to both the micro and macro trading conditions.
  • Collect market and customers feedback, including passing one leads where the customer and business would be better served by a different T&F channel/offering.
  • Establish a strategic approach to the diversified business on territory, to ensure that activity is both relevant and flexible to evolve business environment.
  • Prepare and contribute to academic events to build strategic awareness and to gather market relevant intelligence.
  • Actively liaise with stakeholder departments or groups within the business to enhance T&F coverage of the territory-includes credit control, editorial, marketing and sales support.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as necessary and specific to role. ie update SFDC

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above preferred 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Over 5 years of experiences preferred, where academic publishing background would be a plus.
  • Experience with SalesForce, CRM software preferred
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • You must have the right to work and live in Wuhan, China

  • Some travels within Middle China Area (Covid-19 restrictions allow) may be required
