Job Description

Reports to: Director of Finance / VP & President

Schedule: Monday-Friday (or to be determined by CFO/VP or President and as needed to support sales efforts to include tradeshows & travel)

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for both inside and outside sales duties to enhance the sales effort. Position is located in the Westbrook facility with days at the Winslow laboratory as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the Following:

  • Markets all NEL product & service lines to base and new customers nationwide.
  • Duties to include both inside and outside sales to enhance the sales effort, some travel required.
  • Attends trade shows throughout the U.S. (some Sunday travel required) and follow up on leads.
  • Provides verbal and written quotes to customers/prospects. Some formal presentations required.
  • Makes face-to-face visits to current/potential customers.
  • Manages sales and promotional programs to ensure they are on time and within budget.
  • Assists the President and VP in developing new sales opportunities and partnerships.
  • Meets weekly and monthly goals as established by President and VP.
  • Develops performance measurements for sales and reports on variances.
  • Handles all social media updates, including NEL website.
  • Ensures friendly and positive interactions between customers and staff.
  • Ensures that all procedures and activities are carried out with customer satisfactory is a priority.
  • Identifies internal problems and brings to the attention of appropriate person.
  • Handles customers inquires and routes as necessary; troubleshoots complaint.
  • Provides weekly and monthly updates to senior staff.
  • Assists in developing promotional materials to support sales efforts.
  • Recommends and coordinates purchases pertaining to the sales marketing division.
  • Maintains business relations with analytical and media clients.
  • Develops industry advocates to assist in writing and presenting to help selling efforts.
  • Continually looks for new product and business opportunities.
  • Performs additional duties as required.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with established safety guidelines

Physical Requirements: None

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities but may change as the sales department expands.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

BA desired, or Associates in business or related field with at least two (2) years’ experience in customer service and sales.

Experience:

Two (2) years sales and marketing experience preferred. Experience managing a sales team preferred. Science knowledge helpful.

Other:

Valid driver’s license and insurable.

Must be detail oriented and possess good statistical, communications, leadership, organizational and computer skills.
