Description

The successful candidate is responsible to achieve the financial goals by managing and developing the business within the assigned group of clients or key account. With strong selling, negotiation and relationship building skills, the candidate will work with internal support teams to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long-term account goals in line with company business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and execute detailed business plan for laboratory chemical products annually, updated quarterly
  • Maintains and develop customer relationships
  • Prepare and present customer demonstrations and sales calls.
  • Drives the growth of revenue and market share by expanding in current key accounts and capturing in adjacent markets
  • Recommend and implement tactical plans and programs for the achievement of sales goals
  • Monitor and report market trends, identify new/adjacent market potential
  • Liaise and coordinate with marketing team to ensure maximum market segment penetration
  • Participate in scientific conferences, tradeshows and related field support activities
  • Develop key collaborations across other Thermo Fisher Scientific Divisions to enhance the customer experience
  • Assist with RFP process (Quotations, Proposals, Cross-organization coordination) and identify targeted market product focus and price positioning.
  • Work directly with manufacturer representatives to develop and continually improve product knowledge, arrive at most favored pricing, and improve account profitability.
  • Timely submittal of forecasts, weekly reports, monthly highlights and other related reports for defined territory to Chemical Sales Manager
  • Maintain accurate and current records of proposals, opportunities, accounts, contacts, leads and actions
  • Strategic selling, negotiating, presentation, analysis and financial project management skills required
  • Work with sales support teams, including but not limited to Commercial Operations, Supply Chain and Digital Marketing teams to develop and ensure effective business support practices and strategies for the business
  • Work with internal QA and regulatory partner to ensure all required registration, license, handling, storage etc are in accordance to compliance
  • Assume the role of license holder from local authorities including but not limited to National Environment Agency, Health Science Authority, Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defense Force when require
  • Ability to work both independently and with our sales force, distributor and suppliers
  • Ability to develop new market and have strong technical understanding of laboratory chemical products

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Life Science/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry or any Science related disciplines.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of relevant sales experience with good knowledge of science industry segments such as LifeScience, Environmental, Industrial, Healthcare and Diagnostics.
  • Ability to identify new target accounts each year and be able to develop and execute territory plans.
  • Higher salesmanship and strong ownership for customer account is required
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while multi-tasking
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, facilitation and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, problem solving, and planning skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including use of database functionality in Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently.
