We do this by providing software and services that automate and manage the process of authoring, translating and publishing all information across the corporation.

Exciting opportunities have arisen within our Shenzhen office for an experienced Account Manager. You will be responsible for developing existing corporate accounts by building key relationships at senior management level and successfully closing service and technology opportunities. As the Account Manager you will be at the forefront of the client support function within SDL, working with leading blue-chip customers to bring our sales vision and solutions through to successfully delivery, ensuring that the whole process is seamless and transparent to the client.

Key responsibilities include:

To grow existing accounts through the sale of additional translation services and technology solutions

· By gaining access to senior management levels

· By effectively mapping out the accounts

· Effectively closing out the service and technology opportunities

· Pushing back on clients where appropriate ensuring right solution is pursued

· Develop realistic and achievable goals for allocated accounts within specific timescales

· Develop strategy to achieve goals within specified timescales

· Develop and maintain specific account action plans to achieve

· Plan and execute regular Business Review Meetings with clients to demonstrate added value of SDL and determine new opportunities

· Provide direction for all account team members, coordinating Business Unit Directors and their operational staff, Professional Services, Sales.

· Maintain good knowledge and overview of all projects, issues and ongoing customer activity

· Regular site visits and meetings with clients to achieve pre-detailed objectives


The individual:

· Ability to understand, analyse and document customer requirements in detail.

· Ability to discuss, present, communicate (written and verbally) and negotiate at all levels of a prospect/client.

· A motivated self-starter that can immediately build and develop client relationships to facilitate access to senior management levels

· Previous experience in a localisation or technology/solution based customer facing role.

· Previous experience in a senior account management function.

· Localisation experience ideal .

· Degree Level or Management level qualification

· Travel as required, 25% on average.
