Dow Construction Chemical (DCC) is one of the global business units in PU&CAV, which was established on April 2nd, 2009 after Dow’s acquisition of Rohm & Haas Company, the business has a combined revenues of approximately US$900 millions globally in 2018.
DCC business is an integrated supplier in global market who can offer Cellulsics, Redispersible Latex Powder and Emulsion and Solution Latex together, our decades of experiences in construction chemical applications and strong brand names, such as WalocelTM, MethocelTM , PrimalTM, have well positioned as preferred partner for many of our customers in construction chemical industry.
Construction market in north China is one of the fastest growing markets in Asia Pacific. In order to pave our growth foundation and accelerate our growth, DCC business is looking for good candidates as account manager to manage and grow our construction chemical business in north China.
This job is to manage and develop our construction chemical business in north China for our construction chemical business.
Key job expectations include:
- Work closely with technical and marketing team to ensure the business strategies and marketing plans are effectively implemented in the responsible territory.
- Build strong intimacy with existing customers to well serve customers and understand customer unmet needs, explore and develop the new customers in the market segments based on business’ market plan.
- Work closely with existing distributors and manage them to expand our growth opportunities and coverage into medium and small customers.
- Understand market growth potential, growth trend and market competition to identify new business growth opportunities in responsible territory through a solution approach.
- Keep good communication internally & externally.
- The job is a full time commercial role with the need for frequent travel (>50% of working time) to visit customers/distributors and attend meetings.
- The job will be located in Beijing and report to Dow Construction Chemical sales manager for G.China.
Qualifications
- At least 3+ years sales experience, especially in construction or coating market, technical background will be preferred.
- A good track record to demonstrate his/her past experience in developing end user customers and manage distributor is needed.
- A strong business sense and proven ability to work within a team to solve problems, positive working attitude in front of obstacle.
- Good interpersonal skill, effective communication skill and good learning skill.
- University graduate with Bachelor's degree in construction materials, Chemical, material science or Business is required.
- MBA degree is a good plus.
- Fluent in speaking and writing in English.
