The Challenge
- Sales of DSM products directly to customers or through distribution channel in a designated area,
- Development and implementation of Customer Action Plans (Caps) according to schedule agreed
- To monitor sales results by customer and product taking corrective measures whenever
- To inform management about relevant market data such as: competitive price strategy and/or
- To quote price and to develop commercial proposals according to agreed strategy
- To deliver commercial presentations aiming to improve customer knowledge of DSM products as
- To prospect, searching for new customers, new business and promote innovation
- To acknowledge and strictly follow SHE policy in all activities
The Position
Market characteristics:
- The vitamins and premix markets of HNH in China are highly competitive. DSM has a major
business since it provides a superior margin to DSM and reliability to quality conscious customers
and leads to a lot of support and goodwill from the quality and regulatory authorities. In addition,
multinational accounts in China and accounts in Europe or US expect a “western style” quality
system to be in place. For straight products we are facing the strong price competition from local
suppliers.
Technological characteristics:
- Customers’ requests increasingly new nutritional concepts to compete for more market share.
label claims our customers get challenged by local governmental supervisory departments due to
testing errors of vitamins.
Organizational characteristics:
- Complex organization with many different departments, requiring very frequent communication
to realize customer satisfaction.
The Ideal
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in science/technology or business-related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience;
- Knowledge of industry and markets, in depth know-how about products and/or applications
- Balance of commercial and technical knowledge, skills and experience
- Clear English communication skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team Player
- Negotiation Skill
- Ability to perform under stress
- Initiative
