Job Summary

Join CatchOn as an Account Executive to be on the frontline of this exciting and fast-changing industry. We’re looking for candidates with 1-2 years of experience to be part of our Account Services team. You’ll be working across our prestigious portfolio of hospitality, F&B, design and lifestyle clients. This is your opportunity to build your skills in client relations, account management, digital content and media relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise directly with clients and provide first-level client counsel in consultation with senior team members
  • Take ownership to oversee account activities such as monitoring earned media coverage and compiling monthly media coverage and clipping reports
  • Assist in drafting high-quality and error-free content such as press releases, itineraries, fact sheets, trend reports and social media posts
  • Cultivate a pool of media contacts and proactively pitch media interviews 
  • Participate in strategy meetings, brainstorming sessions, media interviews events and research studies
  • Provide client support at on-site events such as photo shoots, restaurant openings and special events
  • Seek ways to improve and streamline processes for our clients
  • Give guidance and training to Account Coordinators, provide first-level editing of content developed by Account Coordinators and delegate tasks accordingly
Skills & Values
  • 1-2 years of experience in PR, marketing, advertising or a related field 
  • University graduate (degree in Communication, Marketing or Public Relations preferred) 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese (Mandarin is advantageous)
  • Social media savvy with previous SEO or SEM experience is a plus
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Chinese word processing); basic knowledge in Photoshop is an advantage
  • Creative problem solver with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills 
  • A team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

Shanghai

In addition to the above qualifications for our Hong Kong team, we look for the following skills in candidates for our Shanghai team.

  • Local market experience in China and general knowledge of Chinese media channels
  • Comfortable with popular Chinese social media platforms such as WeChat and Weibo
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is required
  • CET-6 or above
