Job Description

Location: Chalfont St. Peter 

Working Policy: Hybrid (3 days office based / 2 days Remote)

About The Role:

Responsible for overseeing work of the team to ensure suppliers are paid on a timely basis

 

Responsibilities:

  • Inputting approved invoices onto the Agresso system whilst checking codes to ensure accurate posting
  • Registering invoices for the purchase order system
  • Liaising with department heads where necessary to ensure posting is correct
  • Reconciling supplier statements where it is appropriate to do so
  • Maintaining the purchase ledger to ensure all supplier account details are accurate
  • Making payments to suppliers on a monthly basis 
  • Manual cheque payments when authorised to do so
  • Distributing, obtaining Approval and Processing Barclaycard statements
  • Posting intercompany transactions to the destination company accurately and on a timely basis
  • Filing invoices on a timely basis to ensure easy retrieval 
  • Liaising with Credit Control where any set off payments are made
  • Ensuring that top up accounts are maintained and that details are updated weekly, including single patent office fees. 
  • Liaising with suppliers by telephone/email to resolve queries
  • Any other duties as required by Finance Manager 
  • Aged creditor reports to be reviewed monthly for all entities. 

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role essential
  • Complicated pricing, multi-company and multi-currency exposure required
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Team management experience essential
  • Good Excel and IT skills
  • The ability to communicate and work effectively across all levels and functions
  • Good level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience of driving efficiency and process improvements within a team
