Position Description:
The Cystic Fibrosis Account Specialist (CFAS) is responsible for driving sales growth at key Cystic Fibrosis accounts. The CFAS utilizes expert sales and account management skills, advanced product/disease knowledge and strong organizational skills to promote Allergan’s Pancreatic Enzymes and patient programs to key customers. The CFAS will target CF Centers and associated Institutions, which will include “high value” targets and other stakeholders.
The CFAS will be the primary point of contact for all CF related activities, including, but not limited to prescribers, dieticians, social workers, nurses, advocacy groups, specialty pharmacies and Institutions in their respective territories. They will be responsible for working with local and regional CF Foundation chapters to assist and support their efforts to build awareness surrounding Cystic Fibrosis.
Position Requirements:
The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develops effective business plans to execute selling strategies that drive sales growth with key accounts throughout territory.
- Promotes Allergan CF products and services to all staff members, including prescribers, dietitians, social workers, nurses, and other key stakeholders.
- Focuses on key opinion leaders and clinicians at targeted Centers to help educate and drive sales at key accounts.
- Ensures formulary access for our products within key institutions and Specialty Pharmacies with focus on PEPs and supportive care products.
- Works with local support groups/societies to raise awareness of Allergan CF products and services (i.e. Live 2 Thrive) and develops additional programs to enhance the patient experience of care including quality, access and reliability.
- Positions oneself as a senior resource related to promotional efforts with key accounts and institutions.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for interactions and collaborative efforts that involve advocacy groups in geographic territory.
- Provides feedback and support to marketing in relation to these efforts.
- Works with sales training and marketing departments via regular conference calls and regularly scheduled meetings to provide direct feedback related to product messaging, resource needs and training improvements / needs.
Territory covers the state of New Jersey and southern New York
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher required
Requirements:
- 5 years of prior pharmaceutical sales experience is required.
- Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks preferred.
- Knowledge of AMA, PhRMA and FDA regulations associated with promotion and industry supported scientific education activities is required.
- Field-based or corporate training experience is a plus.
- CF and Gastroenterology experience in the territory and/or account management experience highly desired.
- Weekly Travel and some night and weekend work required throughout assigned area for customer meetings, community engagement activities , sales and planning meetings and conferences.
- This is a field based position which requires you to have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years, no DWI/DUIs within the last 5 years) to be eligible for employment.
- Candidates must be able to successfully pass background, motor and drug screen investigations.
- Weekly Travel and some night and weekend work required throughout assigned area for customer meetings, community engagement activities , sales and planning meetings and conferences.
