Job Description

We are looking for an Account Support Manager to join us in Beijing. Reporting into the Account Director and as a key member of our Journals commercial team, the purpose of your role is to manage and develop the account support arm as part of our China Journals team, ensuring high-quality support is provided to the whole team and achieving process-efficiency as well as first-class customer experience during the whole commercial life-cycle of China journals business.

What you'll be doing: 

  • Manage the account support team, mentoring and supporting team member on an ongoing basis to drive for continuous improvement in team performance
  • Provide quality support to China Journals team, keeping the Journals team informed of outstanding issues on an ongoing basis
  • Checking and preparing subscription title lists in line with Journals policy, preparing agreements and issuing invoice, filing agreements in forms of electronic and/or hard copy, record subscription details
  • Support in working with local agents, to update price list and orders price, providing invoices timely, chasing payment in line with the turnaround time advised by UK Credit control department, solving ad hoc requests and problems from agents, i.e. claims etc
  • Generate data-driven reports that assisting in account analysis and account management processes
  • Handle customer service inquiries and troubleshoot customer service problems
  • Other ad hoc tasks as necessary and specific to role

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Mandarin as a must
  • Over 6 years’ experience preferred. Academic publishing background will be a plus
  • Experience with SAP and CRM software preferred, proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
