Eaton’s Fuel and Motion Control (FMC) Systems Division of Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently seeking an Accounting Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our North Charleston, SC facility. Position Overview: The North Charleston facility has approximately 130 employees and is the center of excellence for machining for FMC. The position reports directly to the Plant Controller and is part of the plant Finance Team. This role is instrumental in maintaining and monitoring our standard cost system, and proactive variance analysis. The Accounting Analyst will also help to manage, track, and provide proactive financial analysis on various manufacturing and financial metrics. In addition, this role also will also participate in month end financial closings, perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, provide input to build up the monthly rolling forecast, and contribute to the annual profit planning processes. In this role, you will: Tracks capital projects and performs monthly review with project leaders Maintain accurate standard and current cost system Assists in the annual standard cost roll Excess and obsolete inventory reconciliation, action tracking, analysis, and dispositions Monitor, review and analyze manufacturing and budget variances Trouble shoots existing accounting systems to correct problems Develop and understand labor and overhead rates Develops new procedures and process improvements to enhance financial control and reporting Assist in month end financial close activities Assist in annual physical inventory Assist in preparation of profit plan and department budgets Undertake special projects and analysis assigned by plant management Other duties as assigned When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, and/or Finance from accredited institution Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
