Background:
This role involves responsibility for managing day-to-day Local GAAP accounting activities of the German Legal entities. This includes managing relationship with Finance Enterprise Services, EY, and Global accounting group. This role will report into the Central Europe Accounting manager in Munich.
Responsibility:
Responsible for the day-to-day accounting of key activities within the German Intel legal entities. The role covers local Statutory and Regulatory Compliance together with partnering on US GAAP accounting.
Ensures the accurate compilation, measurement, analysis and reporting of accounting data.
Preparation of Local GAAP final Trial Balance and Local GAAP Financial statements for audit.
Drives requirements with external Auditors and relevant government authorities
Managing and facilitating the relationship with the FES who will perform a lot of the day-to-day transactional activities.
Responsible for business partnering with other business groups e.g., Treasury, Tax, ops finance to understand the business roadmap, any emerging new business and identify the technical accounting issues and provide accounting recommendations to the accounting issues

Qualifications
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent professional qualifications
3+ years of broad Finance experience with focus on German Accounting
Fluency in both German and English is a must.
Strong technical knowledge and application of German Statutory Accounting GAAP (HGB), preferably US GAAP and regulatory principles needed.
The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work product.
Experience in support of external audits
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to research accounting issues and translate into recommendations
Ability to work autonomously
Clear communication skills both written and verbal at all levels and especially with senior management
Strong business partnering and influencing skills

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
