Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Responsible for financial closing for the APAC countries he/she supports and ensure financial record is in full compliance with IFRS
  • Work with professional CPA firm on indirect GST and business activities tax filing for Burberry Australia
  • Work with professional CPA firm on income tax filing for Burberry Australia and tax return submissions with international dealing schedules
  • Work on income tax provision calculation and group tax submission in half year end and year end
  • Ownership of the fixed assets and general ledger process to ensure full compliance with Group policy
  • Maintain fixed assets register, perform Internal Orders creation / maintenance, record monthly depreciation, additions, transfers & disposals and perform GL postings
  • Prepare month end balance sheet reconciliation on fixed assets, intercompany, prepayments & accruals
  • Administrate recharge activity for intercompany on service and non-stock purchase orders
  • Prepare Burberry Planning and Consolidation (BPC) month end and year end reporting and disclosure package with high level of accuracy
  • Prepare interim / year end tax reporting package and coordinate with external tax consultant and Group Tax Team for tax schedules submission
  • Liaise with auditors on annual audit and internal control testing
  • Support the supervisors on control compliance, system implementation, process enhancement projects, and any ad-hoc assignments, handle and follow up any system issues / queries and work with SAP Support Team for resolution
PERSONAL PROFILE

 

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance
  • Qualified or semi-qualified accountant in Australia CPA
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant accounting working experience
  • Direct and indirect tax reporting experience in Australia will be a plus
  • Knowledge on SAP fixed asset, general ledger and intercompany, BPC experience is an advantage
  • Strong business acumen with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good working attitude, well-organized, mature, dedicated, self-starter and customer service oriented
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Cantonese, Mandarin is an advantage
  • PC literacy, especially excellent knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
