Purpose of this position

Responsible for the record of entries, perform monthly accounting activities and prepare inventory and general ledger reconciliations.  In addition, prepare reports to support corporate organization to disclosure Baxter Financial Statements.

Main Responsibilities

Reconcile inventory, intercompany, accruals, prepaid and other GL accounts. Communicate and follow up reconciliations differences for resolution of issues. Analyze, track and if needed record payroll entries. Perform month end close activities related to accruals, prepaid true ups, amortizations, supplemental accounts integrity and quarterly preparation of schedules. Perform inventory month end close activities (analysis and reporting) related to: Discards, Cap and Roll, Open work orders, Inventory Turns, Manufacturing variations, PPV analysis and others. Calculation and analysis of Inventory Reserves (Slow movement & Obsolete). Perform Intercompany processes as: reconciliations, out of balances investigation, netting

Provide customer service, JDE support and deal with ad-hoc requirements Analyze financial statements in a monthly basis. Provide support to Controllers, Accounting Center of Expertise, Regional managers, planning department and Corporate external and internal audit. Deliver all internal and external audit requirements. Ensure all services provided are complying with SLA’s, S-Ox and Corporate Policies. Propose, develop and lead projects related to process improvement (looking for optimization, standardization). Support Transition Team in all stages (assessment, Knowledge transfer, pilot and stabilization) and comply with Baxter Project Management methodology.

Scope

Provide accounting and financial services mainly related to Inventory and General Ledger processes. The person in charge of this position should be analytical and have initiative to solve issues, as well as excellent communication, motivation and customer service skills. Strong attention to details, willingness to learn, ability to follow procedures, and positive attitude are a must, in order to accomplish the main objectives of the area. Also it is key in the support of the supervisor in regards to the coordination tasks, such as, metrics, reporting, audits, revisions, among others. In addition the analyst should coordinate special project related to inventory.

BASIC

EQUIVALENCE

Bachelor degree in business administration or accounting

N/A

External: 3  years previous work experience  as Accounting  Analyst

Internal:  2 years work experience as Accounting Analyst

Languages: English level - B2

Strong accounting knowledge and proved experience
