Primary Purpose: 
The scope of the job will focus on supporting accounting activities, which include daily and month-end balancing, reconciling and reviewing of accounting entries.  Support of accounting projects like financial statement preparation and review.
  

Major Projects:


The major learning opportunities will include system balancing and reconciliation skills, development of analytical skills, familiarity with corporate ledger functions in SAP, monthly close procedures and Internal Control processes within the Accounting department.



List of Activities:
Training will be through job shadowing, one-on-one interactions and group discussions.  The intern will gain exposure to the company’s systems including portfolio applications, SAP and Microsoft Office applications.  The intern will learn basic reconciliation processes, participate in the month-end close and gain insight to corporate policies and internal control procedures. 

Please note this is a seasonal internship that will work up to 90 calendar days in our Farmington HIlls, Ml office.  Candidate must be currently enrolled or have graduated within a year of starting internship.


Internship will run from May to August 2020. Start date and end date are flexible based on candidates availability.
