As part of its global expansion strategy, Amgen has built a next generation biologics facility in Singapore and we are seeking to appoint well-qualified and experienced individual to assume the role of Finance Manager.

 

Accountabilities to the Finance Director.

 

·       Manages preparation of budgets, forecasts and standard costing

·       Primary contact for standard costing, tracking and analysis of inventory transactions, and internal/external audits for Singapore products

·       Provides leadership, consultancy and financial decision support analysis to various functions, teams and departments

·       Actively contributes to finance business processes and resolution of issues, representing site/country specific topics/issues

·       Liaise with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, other business functions

·       Liaise with Accounting, Ops Consolidation FP&A and Site FP&A teams

Responsibilities

 

FP&A/Accountancy

·       Lead month-end close and quarterly budget/planning activities

·       Manage cost accounting activities, including but not limited to yearly standard costing in SAP, monthly tracking and reporting of variances

·       Implement and track productivity metrics to support management reporting and partner with the business to drive efficiency

·       Communicate and provide direction to Function heads about financial trends and their business implications

 

Projects

·       Provide business analysis and decision-making support, including financial analyses and modelling of "what if" scenarios

·       Provide support for internal and external audits, as needed

·       Lead consolidation of submissions for government grants

·       Lead or support local and corporate projects

Basic Qualifications

 

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Business Administration

·       At least 7 years’ experience in similar position(s) in an international environment

·       Experience in cost accounting, budgeting and planning 

·       Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication

·       High proficiency with ERP system(s) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·       Demonstrated technical knowledge of accountancy (local country accounting principles), relevant laws, local taxes and accounting systems/processes

Preferred Requirements

 

Technical Capability and Experience

·       MBA and/or CPA highly desirable

·       Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical experience preferred

·       Experience with SAP, EDW, Oracle/Hyperion planning and reporting

·       Integrates disciplinary and business strategy knowledge to develop recommendations

·       Basic knowledge of US GAAP
