Job Description
Job Summary This position is responsible to manage all financial reporting activities for the Qro Plant, including, Monthly/Quarterly/Annual results, financial scorecards, new business proposals/cost estimates, forecasting, and profit planning for the plant leadership and Division (PSD). This position currently manages 3 direct reports that coordinates Finance analisies and cost accounting. This group is responsible for standard cost calculations, cost driver analysis, and spend activities for each Division/Product Line business. The position is a key business partner that provides a direct link between the various Product Line activities in Qro and the Partner sites’ management teams, and most importantly the Queretaro leadership team. This role works very closely with the entire Queretaro Operations teams, as required for data, internal control audits, SOX audits, overall process improvements, analysis and support. The position drives continuous improvement in finance while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF). Finance Manager is responsable of ensure internal controls accross Qro Plant and the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations. Job Responsibilities Prepare monthly actuals and rolling forecast financial reports and supporting commentary for financial results and variances to Profit Plan, Forecast and Prior Periods . Report financial activity to Qro plant operation managers, engineering manager and functional heads to support development of VSM processes, controls and measurement of the product line programs . Lead analysis and communication the financial performance of product lines to Plant and Divisional leadership. Focus on performance to goals and identification of opportunities for improvement in results and processes. Support financial analysis and cost estimations for all new product line business proposals, capital investments, and potential new product development Prepare and report monthly forecast, month end results and annual profit plans Participate as a leading member of the Qro Finance Team in driving standardized processes and procedures. Recommends improvements and service level growth to the Bussines Controller Effectively manage due dates and organize resources to comply with deadlines and timely reporting Review three ledgers balance sheet reconciliations ( Qro maquila strcture ). Develop and implement financial management processes on VSM lines to assure control – benchmark and incorporate best practices. Manage and administer Eaton personnel policies for Financial Reporting & Analysis team members, including the selection and hiring of personnel, performance appraisals, salary reviews, and providing direction and on-the-job training to team members. Support annual certification for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Support local government accounting standards and regulations compliance – Mexico, US and Global requirements. Develop and enhance financial reports in support of business needs Work with GFSS to ensure all accounting activities occured aligned with finalcial policies and accounting principals. #LI-SL4 Qualifications Qualifications Education level required: Bachelor degree in business, accountant, finance or similar. Years and area of experience required: 5-7 Experience in a manufacturing environment with Finance Cost accounting experience is a must. Technical knowledge: Knowledge of US GAAP –preferred, SAP knowledge will be a plus, Working knowledge of electronic data processing systems as well as strong knowledge of spreadsheet software packages. Knowledge of General Accounting and Finance that enables the incumbent to solve daily and high exposure problems, Spreadsheet and overall computer / system literacy.
