Eaton’s Industrial Vehicle division is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Kearney, NE facility. Relocation assistance is offered for this position. Position Overview: The primary function of this position is to provide overall extended leadership for Finance and Accounting functions within the Kearney facility. Key responsibilities of the role include driving the Strategic Financial Planning at the operational level, coordinating and reviewing the accounting department’s daily routine of processing and reporting financial data, review of the plant financials and communicating them to the Controller. This role will serve as a member of the Kearney Extended Leadership team, fulfilling management duties and providing input for strategy, direction & continuous improvement. In this role, you will: Support month-end close process by preparing journal entries and commentary Apply generally accepted accounting principles and company policy to financial activity at the plant; including ensuring accurate and timely completion of Profit Plan (budgets); Financial Forecasts; Month-end close; Year-end close; SOX and Eaton Financial Compliance activities; etc. Manage, mentor, and develop two accounting/finance analysts Prepare monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of reporting Prepare presentations to provide feedback to stakeholders Review the plant’s Labor forecast and OT tracking Analyze the daily/monthly spending to help drive operational & plant cost improvements Continuously identify areas of opportunity with the function to improve efficiencies across key processes Co-Lead in the annual physical inventory process, including leading training, designed to ensure the accuracy of inventory counts and costs Supply quick, concise and accurate information for decision making Provide opportunity and motivation to a full staff of accounting personnel Aid all areas of plant with regard to functional expertise and cross-functional support and training, providing guidance and education as needed to plant personnel on financial objectives and means of achievement Assist in ad-hoc requests from other departments and division headquarters Assist in internal and external audits as required Collaborate in the development and execution of facility profit plan goals, the High 5 metrics and other balanced scorecards while also participating in the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) and Eaton Business System (EBS). Develop sound lines of communication with all levels throughout the manufacturing facility and Interacts and guides other departments involving accounting procedures. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business and/or Finance from accredited institution Minimum three (3) years’ experience in accounting and/or finance Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Five (5) years of accounting and/or finance experience Master’s degree CPA or CMA Advanced Microsoft Excel Experience Prior use or experience with Oracle Manufacturing and/or industrial experience Manager of people experience or ability to teach, train and develop personnel in accounting department Knowledge of manufacturing operations: production control, purchasing, engineering and quality control Knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems and appropriate controls including Budget Preparation, Profit Planning, and Capital Expenditure Management We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
