Job Description

What are my responsibilities? Manages general accounting operations in all accounting area(s), with guidance of several specialized accounting operations teams, for an assigned legal entity. Ensures implementation of approved accounting policies and procedures for assigned organizational unit(s), that match respective legal requirements - (i.e., IFRS and Romanian GAAP). Oversees and manages all accounting transactions (e.g., in A/P or A/R accounting, in maintenance of the general ledger, account reconciliation's, journal entries, project analysis). Liaises with suppliers and customers to clarify business cases as an escalation point. Analyzes and evaluates unit assets and liabilities, and stocks, according to Siemens-wide or specific business guidelines. Manages the preparation of unit balance sheet, P&L reports, annual financial statements, and reports respectively to business management according to Romanian GAAP. Cooperates with local authorities in taxation issues, ensures respective tax operations, and liase with local tax consultants and banks. Ensures internal controls are in place, and accounting complies with all external regulations. Cooperates with internal and external Auditors. Manages a team of professionals and support staffs in different organizational settings. Support of global accounting projects (e.g. M&A or digitalization projects) Cooperates closely with Siemens’ global accounting department in particular the regional hub in Slovakia and Vienna What do I need to qualify for the role? Relevant accounting qualifications & post qualified experience Excellent knowledge of Local Accounting, Tax laws & IFRS Microsoft Office skills are essential – very strong excel The ability to support and guide the team and business through change Experience of a rigid compliance framework SAP system strong knowledge Ability to colaborate and motivate large cross-functional teams Capability to adapt to changing environment Excellent communication skills Be able to meet demanding deadlines in a pressurized environment Being available for occational business trips Make your mark in our exciting world as Siemens!
