Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division is seeking an Accounting Manager for its Project Operations business. This position has a possibility of working remotely from anywhere within the United States. Position Overview: The Accounting Manager position will partner with our operations team in the Project Operations business to help drive financial results and compliance. The Accounting Manager will have full responsibility to “own” the balance sheet and month-end close process and will assist the Controller with the monthly forecast and annual profit plan. Our business is dispersed across the U.S. and gives you the opportunity to collaborate with many different operations managers and their teams to collectively find solutions to complex problems. The preference is for the position be located in Raleigh, NC, but it is also open to be remote. Our Project Operations business provides engineering and project management expertise to our customers by completing turnkey installation solutions at substations, power plants, hydro dams, government agencies, industrial applications and datacenters. Today’s new construction and modernization projects can be complicated—with many equipment suppliers and subcontractors to manage, deadlines to meet and details to oversee. Often, projects extend past planned timeframes and budgets because of the difficulties in maintaining control of the operations. We have a dedicated and experienced project management team to coordinate and manage the expense that goes along with these large-scale projects. Their role is to ensure projects are managed properly to meet deadlines and budget requirements; this role will work closely with those teams. In this function you will: Manage one financial analyst direct report and the work of the end-to-end team in India. Responsible for balance sheet integrity – ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed, actions are taken to resolve aged items and proper reviews occur. Will lead the annual balance sheet review with the Division Controller. Coordinate and oversee the month-end close process. Lead monthly backlog review calls to support operations in scheduling and tracking project financial performance. Assist the Controller in developing the monthly forecast and annual profit plan. Own the Project Operations revenue recognition process. Ensure accuracy of revenue recognition in compliance with US GAAP. Will be the primary point of contact for our annual external audit.
