Responsibilities

• Handle routine accounting duties such as vouchers preparation, journal posting, data entry. Prepare / review monthly general ledger, P&L and balance sheet reports.
• Review procurement / payment requests and process payments & receipts. Co-ordinate with internal and external parties to maintain compliance with internal guidelines and operation flows.
• Assist Finance Manager in the preparation of financial reports for funding projects and claim submissions.
• Support upkeep of the financial fixed assets report. 
• Prepare year-end account closing and management account reports; assist Finance Manager in working with external auditors on audits.
• Assist in the preparation of financial budget reports.
• Participate in review of accounting operations and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Support Finance Manager to administer the overall financial management activities.
• Assist in ad hoc projects as may be assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma holder in Accounting or equivalent.
• Min. 4 years hands-on relevant experience.
• Solid experience in handling full set of accounts.
• Well organized, responsible, with good attention to details and problem solving skills. Capable of working independently and in meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Working experience with MYOB accounting system is an advantage.
• A team player with positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Passion in social service.
• Candidate with more extensive experience may be considered for the Senior Accounting Officer role.
