Eaton is currently seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join our team. This position can be based at any of our U.S. head quarter facilities or can be at a U.S remote location.  The U.S. headquarter facilities include Beachwood, OH, Galesburg, MI, Pittsburg PA, or Southfield MI.

Position Overview:

Join Eaton’s Global Financial Services and Systems North America team and help positively impact our business by providing timely and high-quality financial services.  We are currently seeking an accounting supervisor. 

This position manages the U.S. payroll accounting team, manages the Canada payroll process and performs accounting work for the Global Financial Services and Systems North America region ledger. The region ledger accounting work includes planning, forecasting, income statement reviews and balance sheet reviews working with the GFSS North America Regional lead and various staff members located throughout GFSS. This position has responsibilities for the accounting functions to support the U.S. payroll team and has responsibility for managing the Canada payroll process working with our ADP vendor support team to ensure accuracy and compliance of payroll in Canada.

In this role, you will:

• Lead a team of 2-3 employees, developing their skill set and expertise in general ledger payroll support work and Canada payroll processing by motivating, mentoring, coaching and providing opportunities to learn and grow.
• Ensure the timely and accurate processing of our Canadian payroll.
• Ensure both our U.S. and Canadian payroll transactions feed through to the general ledger accurately and timely.
• Leads the team that performs payroll GL entries and GL reconciliation support.
• Responsible for GFSS U.S. and Canada payroll sox compliance working with auditors to provide adequate controls
• Performs profit plan for the GFSS U.S location.
• Owns the forecasting duties for the U.S. location working with the North America regional lead to ensure an accurate forecast.
• Oversee the GFSS U.S accrual accounts by analyzing and recommending adjustments as necessary.
• Owns the GFSS U.S. billing activities by partnering with the GFSS North America regional lead.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution
• Minimum three (3) years of accounting and/or finance experience
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Human Resources
• Knowledge of payroll processing
• Proficient in Microsoft products
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices.   The annual salary range for this role is $84,720 - $116,490 a year.

Eligible for an annual performance-based incentive plan with a target at 13% of base salary.
