Job Overview:
Ensures transactions are properly recorded and reconciled in the G/L, reviewed/authorized, paid and processed on a timely basis in accordance with all Company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Invoice verification, invoice approval, posting of invoices and expense reports, and supporting with vendor payments.
- Supports monthly closing activities, including accruals and account analyses
- Provide excellent customer service for vendors and other business partners.
- Support with implementing new processes and standards in SAP (cbFC) for Part-by-Part (PbP) operations
- Administer ongoing activities of New Financial Vendor Portal (FVP) for external vendors to improve business relations by allowing vendors to have quick and easy online access for all business relations
- Provides regular ad hoc reporting for department management.
- Follows policies and work instructions and supports reviews and documentation
- Acts in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards
- Support improvement of processes and IT systems
- Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings
- Will perform essential functions of the job and other duties as assigned
- High School Graduate
- Bachelor degree in Finance or related field preferred.
- 3 years Accounts Payable Experience or equivalent
- Experience with SAP
- General understanding of IT Systems
- Ability to engage in critical thinking, analysis, and problem solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
- Must be solution-oriented, proactive, and resourceful.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), planning, organization, and administrative skills with an ability to communicate ideas in both technical & user-friendly language to management and other departments.
- Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and have flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the organization, particularly in the Finance department.

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC (“MBV”) is a plant in Ladson, South Carolina that produces Sprinter vans for the U.S. and Canadian market under the brands Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner. The midsize Mercedes-Benz Metris vans are also reassembled at this location.
Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC invested 500 million U.S. dollars in the construction of a new Sprinter production plant in addition to an expansion of the previous assembly operations. In September 2018, MBV officially opened its new plant, located next to existing operations in the North Charleston area. The MBV facility will provide up to 1,300 jobs by the end of the decade and is expected to create at least 600 additional jobs in the region through its suppliers.
More than 130,000 Sprinters have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered to destinations in the U.S. since 2006. The U.S. is now the second largest market for Sprinter vans, after Germany.
