- Supports the Actuarial Manager in Individual and Group product / campaign development and maintenance by preparing new product / campaign pricing and analysis and performing system checks- Performs studies to support the actuarial function. Review existing product performance and actual operational experience
- Provides actuarial support to Actuarial Manager on special projects and other business issues
Roles and Responsibilities:
Product / Campaign
- Prepares new product / campaign pricing to meet the financial requirements of the company. Suggests and justifies the use of assumptions in pricing models. Conducts profitability analysis of existing products
- Prepares user requirement and performs testing for the actuarial related areas in the product implementation cycle to ensure accuracy and timeliness of system delivery. Co-ordinate with other stakeholders to ensure the achievements of deliverables
- Prepares experience studies / reports. Meets agreed timelines and with accuracy. Provides observation and comments on the results
- Support Actuarial team in preparing the reinsurance forms/ filings on new or existing reinsurance arrangement. Assist product implementation which involves reinsurance
Others
- Communicates with IT and prepare user requirement for various studies and system development
- Develops special quotations
- Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements
- Assist manager in coordinating among teams on ad-hoc tasks
Minimum Job Requirements:
- University / College graduate in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or relevant subject
- Knowledge in insurance products and market trend plus at least 2 years of relevant experience, financial reporting experience will be a plus
- Proficient in statistical computer software/ knowledge in actuarial software e.g. Prophet is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office and database skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
- You are required to obtain relevant license if your job involves in regulated activities
