Job Description
- Preparing, checking and submitting expense statements,
- Managing purchases,
- Coordinating travel – including airline, hotels and ground transportation,
- Calendar management, scheduling and organizing meetings and events,
- Visitor assistance
- Formatting, checking, printing, filing and uploading legal/contract/patent documents, and coordinating the execution and notarization of the same,
- Helping manage IT resources and repositories,
- Assisting with creating and formatting Power Point presentations and Excel sheets/graphs,
- Preparing monthly and quarterly reports – both for legal and patent/intellectual property matters, and
- Coordination with other corporate functions, inventors and external agencies/service providers.

About the job
Texas Instruments (TI) is looking to hire an administrative assistant to support TI’s China & Rest of Asia (ROA) legal team. The role is based in Shanghai but will also entail remotely supporting lawyers in Shenzhen and Chengdu as well as TI’s legal operations in other jurisdictions such as Taiwan, Korea and Hong Kong.
Ideally, the candidate should be a graduate in any discipline and have a minimum of 5 years of work experience. If some or all of that experience has been with a corporate legal department or law firm entailing paralegal, document management or contract administration tasks, that would be a plus.
The work would include:
- Bachelor's degree (any discipline)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Working well in a team environment is imperative in this role.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
- Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Minimum requirements
- In terms of personal qualities - integrity, punctuality and diligence are essential
