Job Description

Note:
(1) For appointment purpose, 'Grade C' and 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' and 'Level 2' respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.

Duties:
(a) To provide administrative support to the deployment of the non-recurrent funding for enhancing the professional development of teachers and principals, including collating returns, handling projects, etc;
(b) To handle financial and procurement issues, including monitoring the financial position of the non-recurrent funding, handling payments and procurement matters, and liaising with relevant Divisions on the accounting matters;
(c) To handle document and file records relating to the non-recurrent funding;
(d) To assist in researching and compiling materials for the enhancement of the School-based Management website and the production of learning materials related to School-based Management, including e-based self-learning platform, training video episodes, etc;
(e) To organize training programmes for incorporated management committee managers and school-sponsoring bodies;
(f) To provide secretarial and logistic support for meetings;
(g) To handle enquiries from schools, teachers and the public; and
(h) To perform any other duties as assigned.

Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1year.
Fringe Benefits
(a) 14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays(or substituted holidays), maternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
(b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
