Position Overview: The Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Supply Chain Director and is responsible for several critical administrative documentation processes, maintaining office supply stock, coordinating guest meeting accommodations and facilitating select MRO/supply orders for the facility. The individual in this role will interact with many organizational functions and shall possess strong communication and organization skills while maintaining compliance specific to their area of responsibility. This individual will support KPI’s driving customer satisfaction, scorecards, quality related responsiveness and may participate in cross training and continuous improvement activities as part of day-to-day work requirements. In this function you will: At all times, follows and enforces safety protocol, including use of PPE (personal protection equipment) and maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Capable and familiar to perform all duties and responsibilities assigned: Responsible for processing incoming material certification documents on a daily basis (about 50% of daily work) Facilitate scrap load coordination and related price/confirmation documentation with scrap metal recycling partners Periodic review of goals and performance objectives with manager Seek to refine and improve the process and efficiencies of the daily work Be encouraged to look for professional growth opportunities and may be supported through intentional ad hoc projects and initiatives as time allows Support team members in preparing for guest visits, meetings, which may include support in coordinating meal deliveries, setting up conference room refreshments or scheduling reservations for business dinners/events, etc. General replenishment and ordering of office supplies and select MRO products for the facility Communicating with various business partners regarding parcel deliveries and/or disbursement of supply orders as they arrive at the facility Maintain good working relationships with customers (internal and external). Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in an office/administrative environment. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Carol Stream, IL site will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Familiar and proficient in Microsoft Suite, specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
